An unofficial English language adaptation of the comic book is known to exist, which was included in the 1980 self-published Asterix Annual comic book and which contains the full movie credits. The translation was made in France by a fan and adapted by Tom Fokker. It is an untranslated abbreviated version of the original text (obtained directly from the French edition of the film), not the credits. The Fan translation is reprinted in [9]. An English translation based on the dialogue of the original French version, published in two issues of the French magazine Comic Book and included with an issue of the English magazine Epoch, was published in 1978 by Whitman.

The Disney feature-length animated film Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (French: Obelix et Cléopâtre: La mission ; alternately translated as Asterix and Cleopatra: The Mission) is a French/Belgian/English/French-Canadian computer animated musical comedy-adventure film produced by Studios d'aujourd'hui, and directed by Uwe Boll. The French volume was published by L'Association in 1984; in 2009, the database corrected its original release year to 1983. The Italian edition has been published annually since 1992 by Angelo Segni Editore (ISBN B0021MAT3Q) (which also produces the albums for Italian television series such as Lo zio Giuseppe, Villa Rondine and Il grande magazzino, among others).
